Answers
1)  Q If I become a member what will I have to do?
A
We would like for all parents to become members of your child’s PTO. Our organization does things for all children. We would like for each member to volunteer about 8 hours (approximately one working day) for events, meetings, or volunteering at the school for any purpose. It doesn’t have to be all at once. Attending one or two PTO meetings, volunteering for Halloween Social, or help during a classroom field trip are just a few examples. You don’t have to be a stay home mom or dad to help us out.
2)  Q Where does the money go that we raise throughout the year?
A
The money our PTO raises goes right back out to the kids and the classrooms. We donated money toward the playground. We also gave money to the Title One program for incentives for the Accelerated Reader Program. We have bought VCR’s for classrooms, microwave for the staff as an appreciation gift, digital cameras and video equipment. We have helped students who couldn’t pay for supplies needed in the classroom. Just this year we supplied our teachers with a meal from Subway on Parent Teacher Conference night. We are also planning to purchase microphones for the "Morning Show". We have Field Day coming up and have given the teachers some financial help in purchasing their testing incentive rewards.
3)  Q Who do I contact to volunteer my time?
A
You may call the school at any time to volunteer during the school day. If you wish to volunteer for a PTO sponsored program please send a message or call the school and they will get the message to us, or email us through this web site.
